A 10.0 for character and temperament, a 9.75 for rideability, an 8.75 for the trot and an 8.5 for his canter and walk - Roi du Soleil did an outstanding job at his 30-day test in 2011 in Munich-Riem/GER. With a weighted final score of 8.55, the premium stallion bred by Sissy Max-Theurer was just 0.01 point behind the winner, finishing on second place. With his weighted final score with emphasis on dressage of 8.80 he ranked first among his 28 competitors. He also had the second highest breeding index for dressage with 144 points. A final score of 7.70 with emphasis on jumping rounded off his excellent results.

His sire Rosandro, who is also stationed at Gestüt Vorwerk, has more than 20 first places in medium (M) level tests for young dressage horses and dressage tests on record. In 2009, under his trainer Kira Wulferding, he took silver in the class for five-year old dressage horses at the Bundeschampionat after having won a qualifier with a score of 9.1. In 2010 fourth place in the Final for six-year olds in Warendorf was added. Rosandro was awarded the I-c main premium in 2008 in Vechta for the quality of his first foal crop.
His dam St.Pr.St. Augustina also gave birth to a full brother of Roi du Soleil named Roseborough who was also licensed. Augustina is a full sister of Augustin OLD, who won the 2007 Nürnberg Burg Pokal under Victoria Max-Theurer/AUT, took fifth place in the 2009 EC in Hickstead/GBR and sixth place the Grand Prix of Aachen in 2010. Half-sister Sevilla MT (by Sandro Hit) was the 2006 2nd Reserve Champion Mare at the Elite Broodmare Show and is now successful in advanced (S) level dressage. Siena OLD received State Premium candidate status.
The dam's sire August der Starke won international Grand Prix dressage classes under Victoria Max-Theurer.
The Weinperle line is also known for other licensed stallions such as Real Dream (by Rubinstein), Cubaner (by Castro) and Dutch Dormello (by Dormello).
