Lilliano OLD New at Schloss Achleiten

We have managed to find a very special horse for our show stables - a participant at the 2014 Bundeschampionat in Warendorf/GER named Lilliano OLD who received a lot of interest.

The good-sized and rideable youngster with unbelievably strong movements is by Lissaro van de Helle-Sir Donnerhall I and bred by Karl-August Schulte-Varendorff. His daughter Christiane did an outstanding job of presenting Lilliano OLD in the dressage ring for young riding horses in Warendorf. There he received 9.5 for his trot and walk, 9.0 for his canter as well as for meeting the requirements of the test. "A clear uphill tendency, impressive suppleness, very nice front leg technique and very active hindquarters" were the reasons given by Dr. Dietrich Plewa in his comment on the judges' decision. Both guest riders even gave the licensed bay stallion 19.0 points on top. That meant silver for Lilliano OLD at the Bundeschampionat in the class for three-year old stallions.

Before that he had also taken second place at the Oldenburg State Championships.

Lilliano OLD's sire, Lissaro van de Helle, won a Bundeschampionat title as a three, four and five-year old, took the Vice World Champion title for young dressage horses in 2010 and has meanwhile won dressage tests up to St. Georges Special.
His dam Spectacular won ribbons in tests for young riding horses herself. The dam's sire Sir Donnerhall I is deemed a trademark stallion in modern day dressage horse breeding. In furthe generations you find stallions well-known for passing on rideability, Rubinstein and Consul.

In the brief time that Lilliano OLD has been with us in Achleiten, we are extremely impressed every single day with his three outstanding gaits, his wonderful character and his outstanding willingness to perform.

At his very first show he turned out to be a real professional from the time he left until the time he returned to his stables at home and also earned scores of 8.6 in his first test for young riding horses.

We really want to thank the Schulte-Varendorff family for the honor of being able to take over such a high quality and well reared stallion and are absolutely delighted to have such a promising young talent in our stables. Lilliano OLD  will now be very carefully schooled according to classic principles and prepared for better things.
